Makes me wonder who the young woman was wore it. To her prom? Who was her date? Where is the photo that was taken of her in it? Such a mystery. But yet the dress remains a charming piece of history.

Hi Jillian! That dress is a beauty--I, too, often think about who owned those precious items. I can NEVER get over those great old lace up boots (with heels). They are always so small. Now I know folks used to be smaller than what we are today, but gadzooks, they had some iddy-biddy feet! :)
Glad you got you Pink Post up and running! Have a great weekend. Dana
Reminds me of the movie Pretty in Pink! Happy PS!
Jillian....the dress is to die for! Isn't is sad that there are so few times in life that we can dress to the nines like that. A wedding, a dance, ...I love to get all dolled up, but where to go dressed like that? Happy PS hugs, Kathleen
That dress is beautiful!!!!!
Have a Blessed and happy weekend,
Virginia :)
Happy Pink Saturday!
Beautiful! Although not as cute as that little baby in the corner there!! How did she get so big....wasn't she just born yesterday? :)
Happy Pink Saturday, your dress is beautiful.. Wouldn't be great to have more occasions to wear something like this? I hope you have a super Pink Saturday.
hugs ~lynne~
Very elegant!! Happy Pink Saturday
I can just see Sandra Dee in that dress. Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday.
What a beautiful vintage dress...the vintage prom dresses really are hard to resist, so frothy and frou frou, especially in PINK! :-)
How pretty. You're so right, there are untold stories behind these beautiful things. I wonder how old this dress is - is it from the 50's? And such delicate lace.
What a great Pink Saturday post.
I am guessing it is from the late fifties...oh how I wish it is what I wore to the prom...instead of my pink frock! LOL.
Wonderful dress! Will you or dear Bebe wear it sometime in the future?
Hopefully Dear Bebe could wear it. It is what I am guessing about a size 2! It just barely fits my mannequin which fits size 4 clothes nicely. So, at this point, since the "baby weight", I can slip it onto one of my thighs....LOL
Beautiful!! Happy Pink Saturday!!!
love the dress....
god bless
Kandy
Beautiful dress, happy pink Saturday.

Happy Belated Pink Saturday!

Hi there,
Just found you via someone else (sorry, but for the life of me I can't remember whose blog I was on at the time!) - but anyway, your blog looks very pretty...as does that simply divine pink dress (oh to be young and trim eh?).
I'm sending flu-sympathy to you from across the pond. We are all dropping like flies here too.So far, my family have escaped with just colds - thank goodness.
Oddly enough I too posted a piece about the ideal film to watch whilst languishing under a duvet - my own choice was Mamma Mia! The Movie. That's providing one has a voice left to be able to singalong!
Get well soon and thank you for having me, will return again.
Molly
What a wonderful dress!! Fit for a princess!!
Happy (belated) Pink Saturday!
Stephanie
That dress is seriously divine!
So beautiful. I love vintage prom dresses. Is it staying in Bebe's room?
Lovely prom dress. I just visited another blog showing a pink prom dress. Seems to be a theme here. Happy Belated(very)Pink Saturday!
That dress is exquisite. I feel certain it would tell us of sweet dances and maybe gentle kisses in the moonlight.
Happy Pink Saturday, Jillian.
LOVE that vintage pink prom dress! So beautiful!!
