On Voting

Today was election day. I got up in anticipation, knowing I was going to go exercise my right as an American citizen.

And if felt good.

No. No, it didn't feel good. IT FELT GREAT!

I don't normally vote in "smaller" elections like deciding who our judges are going to be but I did this year. I'm going to make sure I vote in every election I possibly can from now on, too.

It is that important. Now that I have Dear Bebe everything has changed!

How exciting.

Good for you! Another reason to vote? Your step-son is risking his life so that others can share the same rights that we have to a representative government! Go, Jillian, go!

Yes, our granddaughter graduated from UC Berkeley and we all know what that means, sugar. Now that she is married, has a job, bought a home and expecting a baby, a whoooooole lot has changed, chick!!

Glad you decided to stay in blogland. We need more people like you, honey!

Jillian,
You are so right...it is our right, privilege and duty to vote in every election we have! Look what happened in my state: NJ HAS A NEW GOVERNOR today because we all got out and voted!! :)

You are so right! I live in the county and no county seats were open for me to vote this time and no other issues on the ballot. Strange because they sneak these in when they think people won't vote. Maybe there were some city ones as well and again I was able to vote. But I do everyother time. My mom took us with her for years and it has always been important in our family. NOW I won't say I did EVERY time since I registered (at 18 by the way) but I do as often as I can. Good for you and I hope you made a difference!
Hugs, Lisa

I agree with you about voting. I personally feel that as Christians, we have the responsibility to ensure a government that supports Christian values.

God Bless You!
