What's In a Name?

Well, now that I have won a web design from Retro Boutiques
...I have to decide on a name for my new website. I was all set to use my current "In the Cupboard Antiques. " Does that sound fun? Feminine? Does it represent who I am? One plus, it would be easy to use the Cupboard theme and be creative.

Then I was typing on the computer when the name "Bella Rosa" popped into my head. It is something I remembered from a trip to Italy I had taken. My girlfriend and I were waiting for our tour to leave when I entered a garden of roses. There was a sweet, elderly gardener there trimming the bushes. He saw me and just started exclaiming "Bella Rosa Rosa Rosa!" Seems as though redheads get a lot of attention over there. Anyway...he handed me some roses and I was so charmed! How sweet was that? I don't think that has ever happened to me here in the US. I have never forgotten this neat moment and it really made my day. Still makes me smile whenever I think about it.
So I had to ask myself: Do beautiful roses and antiques go together? Yes...lots of shabby chic porcelains, etc., but I tend to sell all kinds of different things. This is getting tricky!
What do you think? I don't have much time on this and would love some input. I asked my DH and he said "whatever you would like, honey!" Sweet, but not helping me here. Maybe I should ask for a Mercedes instead!
Drop me a comment or two if you think of something...

Bella Rosa is lovely. I am a bad person to ask, my blog name is blah. I didn't read blogs when I started it and had no idea what I was doing, I just used the address I had for my antique and art sales at my home, I always invited people to come to my cottage.

Its good that you are putting some thought into it, I wish I had done that. I would have had something so much nicer and less boring.

Hi Jillian thank you for visiting my blog!
I like in the cupboard antiques....it sounds more homey and welcomeing.. besides everyone is doing roses and shabby chic!
But you may want to check to see if either names are already used somewhere else, before you decide!

You asked what a swap was.....
a swap is hosted by someone, anyone! She advertises on her blog her swap theme....gives everyone a chance to sign up, then you are assigned a partner in which you create or buy or both items in that swap theme!
My Vintage Heart Swap requirements are...fill a container {your choice} with anything that is heart shaped or has hearts on it, in colors of red, pink or white, at least one item has to be vintage!! Then you send it off to your partner and she does the same for you!
Its a great way to meet new people, and who does'nt like receiving goodies in the mail!

There are alot of swaps out there!
I say find one that sounds great and go for it!
Just a warning though...swaps are addicting!

Its nice meeting you!

Hi Jillian.
This shade of white is Muslin by Benjamin moore. It's a nice creamy white. I always use their Aquapearl (satin) finish. It gives movement to the paint with out being shiny. I only use flat if I am going for a milk paint look. I finish all my furniture then with a satin polycrylic for durability.Let me know if you have any other questions!

HI Jillian
You asked how to hyperlink with the name... This is so funny since I am soo bad on the computer I hate to give advice since there is no doubt a better way.. I type the name if I'm thinking ahead I have already copied the address and have it waiting. If not I go to that blog then highlight the web address when it comes up so I have it right. The I hit the link on blogger where you are typing the post,3rd one over, when it pops up I delete where they have http and hit "control v" to paste the link then hit okay and it puts you back on the page Is that as clear as mud???
JOY!
Hope it works for you
