The Luckiest Girl ~ Beverly Cleary

Recently Dear Hubs came home from an antique show in a local town nearby...and brought home this "pink book" for me to share on Pink Saturday.

Of course I thought it was cute. But being busy with a one year old, planning parties and MORE, I laughed at the title "The Luckiest Girl" (Dear Hubs kept pointing out that the title was ME) and put the book aside.

Just the other day I picked it up to take a photo of it for Pink Saturday and eventually my shop.

I took note of the title again: "The Luckiest Girl." (1958)

Hmmph.

Didn't recognize it really. Took note of the author...Beverly Cleary!

Oh my goodness, I thought, I know BEVERLY CLEARY! Who didn't read one of her books when we were growing up about Ramona, the Mouse, and more. Loved them!

This also led me to think about other vintage books I loved. Did you ever get to read Peter Potts? I LOVED THIS BOOK. I actually still have it and have stashed it in Dear Bebe's closet for when she is of reading age. Hilarious stuff.
What were some of your favorites?

I loved all her books, but I remember a book called "Fifteen" that really resonated with me. I'd love to find a copy one day!
