Beachy Keen Bathroom

Remember my recent post about renovating our laundry / half bathroom? Well, it is pretty much finished. We have a couple of little things here and there to add but overall, it's done, hubby is tired, and I LOVE it! The above picture of course, is the BEFORE.

And here is the AFTER!

I couldn't resist filling the apothecary jars with shells to go with my beach theme.

And this sign is above the washer/dryer in case I forget how to get there. It is an almost three hour drive to the beach so I need all the help I can get!

I love the wainscoting and the white washed cabinet look. I can hear the ocean waves already! Ahoy matey!

And this wall is waiting for one more piece. We found a really cool expandable hat rack...with what seems like 50 pegs on it. I thought it would be perfect for hanging next to the washer/dryer to hang those "special" drip dry items. We're going to spray paint it white I think. Maybe it's too much white? Maybe navy to go with the sign?

Well I hope you enjoyed the transformation .... and this was the bathroom on a budget. Dollar for the can of "oops" paint and 10.00 for the clearance counter at Lowes. Can't beat that. Well, except for a day at the beach.

It's truly fabulous! And that oops paint is perfect, just like sand on a beach.

Jillian,

Great job by you and Mr. Hubby! Your bathroom is gorgeous. We have the same wainscoting in our bathroom and I'm so happy with it.
