Well, it is here! There is nothing I can do to stop it. The inevitable has happened. Today I turn 40. Actually, tonight at 11:15 PM. (My Mother tells this great story of how she was in labor and was PROMISED by her doctor that I would not be born on the 13th. He kept his promise!)
I want to THANK EVERYONE for their wonderful wonderful and very fun suggestions on how to celebrate my big day. It really helped and put lots of smiles on my face with plenty of giggles.
Dear Hubby is ready to take me to the beach any weekend coming up that I choose. AND he also wants to take me to a surprise restaurant for dinner.
Since I love love love the beach this is probably my first choice...but I had this fantastic idea yesterday about a different kind of gift. Maybe it was the suggestion from a lovely blogger that I get a new outfit ....ESPECIALLY the CUTE SHOES part. So, I'm thinking shopping spree for some new fall and winter clothes! (Dear hubs had a look of "deer in the headlights" when I mentioned this to him last night...)
Either way, I am going to embrace this new frontier...turning 40. If it really is the new 30 then this is going to be a great time! Thanks for sharing it with me.
